Also something about Corpsebloom being not a bad pick on Acrid, surprisingly since he has the highest HP recovery over time- tied with Loader. Oh yeah, if you do play ranged Acrid then I'd STRONGLY advise you do pick up Visions of Heresy. Your Secondary will have basically the same timing for attacking as if you didn't pick up the Light Flux Pauldron at all- plus you're not unlucky. It seems pretty good for reducing the cool down on the Special as well as the Ultility. I'm still looking into the Light Flux Pauldron. I've very recently gotten into using Blight over Poison due to the fact that I normally pick up Purity from the bazaar. Id suggest playing ranged Acrid (even though I find melee Acrid fun) because it's MUCH safer and also very powerful still. If you're playing with command, you can always do the classic Razorwire, 100% crit w/ Harvester Scythe build but I'm assuming you're talking about a regular run without command. If you need to speed it up you can leap straight at them, but just keep a charge of your leap ready in case they charge up their genesis supernova.I've got around 600hrs in the game between PC & Console and I've realized that I've played Acrid either the most of second most last night when I was checking my stats on PC. For Vagrants, I usually focus on clearing out adds with my leap and claws, and toss out my ranged puke attacks at the boss whenever they come off cooldown. Early game they're far more annoying, but once you get some gasoline, tri-tips, wisps, ukeleles and whatnot they aren't super scary. You don't want to make a habit of being in melee range that much as Acrid, so once you can comfortably stay more at range you'lll get more use out of ol' needle boi than your claws.ĭealing with your flying enemies largely consists of poking them out with your secondary and special and just whittling them down with your poison. In the lunar category, there's Visions of heresy - that's the lunar item that replaces your primary attack with the Needler from Halo. Poison is affected by armour, so Shattering justice (big armour-breaky hammer red item) is good on it. Glasses, missiles, wisps, ukeleles for damage, scythes, teddies and brooches for survivability, and a spot of mobility. Tri-tip daggers, if you can get your hands on a couple, will frequently bypass poison's nonlethal damage, as a single tick from the bleed will finish it off once it gets low.Īnd finally, Old guillotines allow your poison's nonlethal damage to be a complete non-factor on any elite, since they never even get to 1HP, they just get deleted at 20%.Īlso Backup mags, while not incredibly core, are particularly good on Acrid since you want as much uptime on your secondary as possible.Īside from that? You just want your usual items that are good on anyone. For greens, Will-o-the-wisps accomplish much the same thing, but even better. Gasoline is the single best white item to nab an early stack on - whenever those low-health enemies are clumped up together you can get chain reactions. So what's the best items to look for on Acrid? And it can't kill enemies, only leave them at 1HP. Poison cannot proc though, as it is a DoT effect. In fact, I'd go with his default abilities across the board. Blight can outpace it at some points, but by that point Poison is still great and frequently better. It just does far more consistent damage across the board and doesn't gimp your AoE potential.
